Family Friendly

Immanuel Lutheran Church received a grant to help engage children of all ages (young and old) of all abilities to be more family friendly. It made us look within and ask ourselves how can we make it easier for families to worship together?

In our sanctuary we have a "Pray Ground" that is filled with sensory friendly items that anyone can sit there and engage in while worshiping or we have lap trays where anyone can take the items back to their pews.

We have added picture cues to our Easy Worship so visitors and those that need visual pictures to help explain when to stand, sit, along with pictures to show what is next. 

We offer children's bulletins / worksheets each week that correspond with the Sunday's bible readings. We have adult coloring sheets with colored pencils for adults that like to keep their hands busy.

Our new sensory friendly classroom will also be finished soon.

Families can come here and not be judged. Be who God created you to be. You will be family when you enter our doors.
